We recently got a new grill after not having one for quite some time, so of course; now my husband needs a few accessories for it. A Stuff-a-Burger Press and Basket Set was a must along with the All in One Spatula. I caught him eying a similar spatula a few weeks back at a friend’s Memorial Day cookout. He marveled at a spatula that could doubled as tongs, a knife, and a sausage poker. He talked about it more than I thought possible so I made note to immediately purchase it for him for Father’s Day. The stuffed burger press is kind of for me because who doesn’t love a Juicy Lucy burger.
I also included a few practical things the Propane Tank Gauge, Stainless Steel Grill Cleaner, a Grill Stone, and a Wire Grill Brush. Trust me; if you have ever run out propane just after 20 guests have arrived to eat you will understand why a Propane Tank Gauge is a must. As far as the other practical items go, my husband cares for his grill like he cares for his car, meticulously. The wire brush didn’t make the basket because it was way too long and slightly dangerous but I made sure he had all the proper items to keep his new baby clean and shiny.
To build my basket I started with my must have items, and then I added a few filler items like barbeque sauce, spices, and bamboo skewers. The trick to a fabulous looking basket is filling in the dead space at the bottom with either basket grass or crumbled up sheets of tissue paper. This will allow your smaller items to be seen and not fall to the bottom of the basket. Then it is just a matter of constantly moving things around till you have an arrangement that is pleasing to the eye. Sometime that will also mean having to add or remove a few things until you are happy, like my wire brush that was just too big and awkward. When you are happy with where everything is placed, wrap a bow around it, and you are good to go.
I am so excited to be giving this basket to my husband for Father’s Day. I know that he will just love everything that I picked out, and I can’t wait to make some stuffed burgers later that day.
Happy Father’s Day to all of the Dad’s out there. Have a great day!
